I have grown a fascination with wolves over the past couple of years. I had a friend who died of a brain tumor and he was part Navajo Indian and he always told me stories from his culture about wolves and wolves were his favorite animal. I had to read this book about O-Six and the wolves of Yellowstone. It tells of the history of how wolves were killed in the 20's and slowly reintroduced to the park in the 70's to help control the other animal population and ecosystems. It goes into the story of O-Six and her being the best alpha female wolf in the history of wolves and how she was killed and the hunter having no remorse for killing such an iconic and well loved animal.
