As I read The Last Arrow: Save Nothing For the Next Life, by Erwin Raphael McManus, I realized that I needed to change my mindset, my priorities, my life perspective. The Last Arrow is about living a full, no holds barred kind of life. Willing to risk everything, so to make the most of this gift we've been given: our lives. The Last Arrow is about finishing this life as truly a life well-lived. This is a book that everyone needs to read. The Last Arrow showed me that how I live my life is important; but even more so, to live my life far above mediocrity, above just settling for whatever happens, that is living life to the fullest. I have often been one who likes to feel safe, sticking with what's familiar and comfortable. However, my perspective has changed. As Erwin Raphael McManus points out, "Don't make the mistake of living your life waiting for good things to happen--make good things happen." It's about living life with all that God gives, taking all of it and using all of it for His glory. So at the end of this life, there are no regrets, nothing held back, and taking a final breath with joy, of a life well-lived to the glory of God. So now I can say, "I'm all in!" The Last Arrow is very well-written, a book full of nuggets of important truths to apply. I very highly recommend The Last Arrow: Save Nothing For the Next Life by Erwin Raphael McManus. I will read this book again because there is so much wisdom to glean. It's time to stop living for a settled life, and take the leap of living as fully as possible. So that the the end of my days, I will hear Jesus say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." *I received my copy of The Last Arrow from Blogging For Books in exchange for my honest review.
