I'm not a huge fan of comics/graphic novels, but I loved the premise of this book so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did because it was a lot of fun to read! The illustrations were well drawn out and the commentary was hilarious, sometimes creepy, and other times downright bizarre. But what I liked best is that a lot of these fears--fears that the illustrator asked his fans to send him so he could illustrate them--where relatable. Some of the fears in the book were fears I have myself, so it made the comics funnier in certain cases.
The reason I rated it a four stars, instead of five stars, is that it's supposed to be creepy, but most of the comics weren't scary at all. More amusing, than anything. I'm still shocked about how many fears came from superstitions parents told their kids to scare them LOL those were my favorite, because they were the funniest and most relatable.
If you're looking for a fun book to read and great artwork, I would recommend this book. I really, really, enjoyed it and I'm now making my family go through all the comics because I loved it that much!!
