Liz Curtis Higgs is one of my favorite authors who can take a portion of Scripture and apply it in a meaningful and thoughtful way. In “31 Proverbs to Light Your Path”, Higgs walks us through 31 verses in Proverbs, both well-known and unfamiliar, that challenge us to examine our motives and actions. Some are comforting while others may be a little unsettling.
Higgs brings depth and humor together to keep us from getting too bogged down and offers enough honesty and clarity to show us truth as it lives in God’s Word. Each chapter ends with a prayer and a “One Minute One Step” which gives an exercise that will help apply the verse she walked us through.
A study guide is included making it a great small group study. If you are a Liz Curtis Higgs fan, you will adore this new Bible study that reveals how God is faithful to His promises. If you have never read one of Higgs’ books, now is the perfect time to start.
