Balanced. That is the word I would use to describe this book. Boris Vujicic takes a really tough topic and manages to balance the toughest parts of parenting with the bright spots; the practical insights with just plain encouragement; the emotional struggle with the physical and financial struggles.

In this book you will find guidance in:
-understanding how your special-needs or disabled child is still God’s perfect child.
-maintaining a positive and proactive approach to parenting your child.
-allowing yourself to grieve without guilt.
-moving to acceptance and making adjustments without losing heart or hope.
-dealing with additional stress and cost of raising a special-needs or disabled child.
-learning to be your child’s best medical advocate and how to ask the right questions.
-learning from your child how to be the best possible parent.
-making sure your other children receive the love and attention they deserve.
-choosing the best method for education and dealing with the bureaucracy.
-preparing your child for the world while also preparing yourself to let go.
-maximizing communication with your spouse and your family to seek understanding.
-leaning on your faith and asking for spiritual guidance.

This book covers such a broad range of topics that parents of a special-needs/disabled child struggle with, and it is forwarded by the authors own disabled child, so what better endorsement is that?
