In this diminutive book, Waters discusses the essentials she believes every good cook should have on hand, from preserves (sweet and savory), to oils, grains, spices, cheeses and nuts. There are simple directions for making spice rubs and making cheese. This is a delightful addition to any cooks collection and would make a nice stocking stuffer.
