How to Be Married: What I Learned from Real Women on Five Continents about Suriviving My First (Really Hard) Year of Marriage by Jo Piazza is a combination of memoir, travel log and advice book. The author takes a humorous tone that is quite entertaining and amusing. I appreciated the insight about the political and divisive parts of marriage, which are in contrast to what people think will happen when they get married.
I'm not a newlywed by any means, having been married for 15 years now, but this book was spot-on about so many things. I think this would be a great book for someone thinking of getting engaged or someone who is newly engaged. It was also amusing for me as someone who has been married for a long time.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
