This book is so much fun.  I read it over the summer, and had the chance to try out a few of the recipes in it, and I found it to be one of my more favorite ice cream books (I have a couple in my collection).  I have a Kitchen Aid mixer with the ice cream maker attachment and bowl, so it was super easy to make the ice cream by using the recipes in this book.

The layout of the book itself was also pretty cool – there were a lot of pictures and it was in a great format that made the book easy to read and incredibly awesome layout that made me happy to have the chance to read it.  It was not only full of recipes, but tips and tricks that make making ice cream so much easier.  I love how some of the recipes gave other ways to make ice cream than just needing an ice cream maker.  For example, there were a few that were no churn ice cream recipes, which are helpful for those who don’t have one.

The recipes included are of a pretty good selection, too – some of them seemed a bit over the top and like nothing I would really use, but most of them sounded really appealing, and even my kids liked looking through this one to find recipes that they wanted me to try.  There are creamy recipes like chocolate, and fruity ones, too.  There are even recipes for things like making your own toppings (your own sprinkles, for instance – how awesome is that?)

I think this is one of those books that I will be using for years to come!

Who doesn’t love ice cream, right?  This book, which is perfect for summer, has so many ice cream recipes that you won’t even know which one to try first (I tried the chocolate first, and it was fantastic)!

Note: I received a copy of this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for an honest review.
