There's something so fascinating about a true crime novel- maybe it's the suspense, the suave characters, or thrilling pace of the story. In his new book Chasing Phil, author David Howard tells the true story of two FBI agents that had just joined the force and how they were about to be a part of the agency's first wire-wearing undercover missions. I really like how this is a substantive crime novel of nearly 400 pages of adventure. The front of the book has a great map to keep a track of the characters.

The book is divided into four parts: the chase, the game, fear city, and the reckoning. I really enjoyed how Howard tells the story-it keeps you on the edge of your seat and constantly engaged. The characters are multi-faceted and the storyline itself is very interesting as the characters traverse around the globe.

I'd definitely recommend this book if you're at all intrigued by the history of the FBI, true crime, or are just looking for a good read on a plane or while traveling elsewhere.

I received this copy complimentary from the publisher, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
