While this book could of had more of a flow to the story, I did think that it was interesting to read more about female athletes in the 1930's and how unfair the world was to them back then. My daughter and I have enjoyed reading about Annette Kellerman, another early 1900's female athlete, who ran into some of the same problems as the runners in this book.
I especially enjoyed the last bit, it made the book worth reading through.
I received this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
