A white crooked cop and an innocent black man sent to prison by his lies share their powerful story of redemption in this timely autobiography. I felt angry as the book revealed the corruption and injustices that happen daily in our law enforcement and judicial system. I grieve the impact of poverty and injustice that leave millions trapped and hopeless. This isn’t a story of perfect endings or solutions to the social issues facing America; rather, it is a testimony of the power of the gospel in transforming individual lives. Only in Jesus can there be found the healing and reconciliation that is so desperately needed. I may not be able to right all the wrongs of our society, but I can be transformed by Jesus and allow Him to shape my perspectives of and relationships with others–a challenge for all of God’s people!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my review.
