I recently read "Seven Mile Miracle" by Steven Furtick, who pastors Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. I found the book to be both easy to read and full of helpful and hopeful content for anyone who desires to know Jesus on a deeper level.

The framework of the book is centered on Jesus' last words spoken as he hung on the cross. In them you find a clear picture of the heart of God and His great love for us. In these seven short phrases, we find words of grace and truth straight from the heart of God that can bring us comfort, strength, encouragement, and direction even in the most difficult seasons of life. The chapters are broken down into "A Word of Forgiveness", "A Word of Salvation", "A Word of Relationship", "A Word of Abandonment", "A Word of Distress", "A Word of Triumph", and "A Word of Reunion".

As we enter the Easter season, I think anyone would benefit from either learning for the first time about the great love that Jesus has shown to us, or being reminded once again of the tremendous sacrifice that was made so that we could find forgiveness and love in a relationship with Jesus.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
