The beautiful and poignant thing about The Moth, as Neil Gaiman writes in his forward, is that "being open about who you were at a moment in time when you were in a difficult or an impossible place matters more than anything" in these stories. This anthology packs a surprising number of vignettes into its pages, and each story is a tiny piece of someone's real life. I think the stories that I found powerful would not be the same as the ones someone else would, because they range across an incredible spectrum of human experience. This book is inspirational and moving and absolutely worth picking up. Read it when you need motivation to face something unknown or difficult.
