I was a bit skeptical when I received this book in the mail, but I was very happily surprised! This book really challenged me. I thought I was being kind, until I read this book. Each chapter showed me more and more that I do have room for improvement. Even my thoughts affect the kindness that I show others! Do you sigh when you think of someone that is hard to be kind to? That is considered being unkind.
This book challenges you to pick ONE person to show kindness to every single day for 30 days and see how it affects your relationship with that person. She suggests that you pick someone you are really struggling with to attempt this challenge on them and see if it gives you any improvement.
I really enjoyed this book and felt that it challenged me in a way that I wasn't expecting. She encourages you to keep going even if you don't see changes in the other person, you will see changes in you. I found this to be true, but it also did improve my relationship.
