I like to keep an open mind and read different books on spirituality, but this one just didn't appeal to me. I liked the idea of living in the present and being open to whatever life brings you, but something about this was just too passive to me. I believe in creating your own destiny and taking charge of your life. This "Surrender" concept seemed like drifting to me and seemed inconsistent since the author didn't always go with what life presented. He was open to possibilities. I liked that. But maybe it's the term "surrender." Makes me think of helplessness and passivity and I couldn't get past that.
Glad these philosophies are helpful to others, though.
