"Radical" by David Platt is certainly a thought-provoking book that causes any reader to seriously consider their understanding of what it is that Christ has called his followers to do and pursue. I definitely appreciated the ways in which Platt deconstructed the often desired "Christian American Dream" (i.e. go to church, serve in the local church, raise a good family, etc.) Platt certainly does not oppose anyone that lives this type of life; instead, he encourages people to live intentionally for the lost, and unto the glory of God. I read this book with a group of high school students for small group, and everyone who read it was challenged, blessed, and encouraged.
