When I selected the book- The Gospel of Yes, the main reason was- "That's an interesting title; wonder what it is about." Even going into the book with some skepticism, based on the title, Pastor Mike Glenn hit this one out of the park! It was a great read that caused me to stop and think for a bit. My copy of the book is filled with dogeared pages, pen underlining, and highlighting and it's not often that I do that with a book.

The premise of the book is that as Christ-followers, we are more known for what we are against than what we are for, and hat crates a problem, Glenn argues, in our culture. This attitude creates a desire for us to try not to mess up and if we play it safe and don't mess up, we have earned some points, even though we have missed out on our life and what God had in store for us.

If you are checking out faith and the walk with Jesus and are unsure of taking it seriously because many of the unhappy and most miserable people you know are Christians, read the book and discover the hope that Glenn unpacks using the Bible. If you are one of the people who's faith has become a list of things not to do- read the book.

Great book Pastor Mike! (no, I do not attend his church)
