Gathering the threads is the third and final book in the Amish of Summer Grover, series.

I simply adore Cindy Woodsmall and her books with stories about the Amish.  In this book we follow the story of Ariana who has tried to live the life of an English person, but returns to the Amish, to the life and the traditions she loves.  The transition back into the Amish is not smooth or without drama or conflict, as secrets come to light.

Ariana is faced with the truth that after 20 years in the Amish world, she is adopted and her biological parents are actually English.  It's this reconciliation of who she really is and who she wants to be and is more comfortable being, that makes for a very good read.

I've always been absolutely fascinated by the Amish and their way of life, and Cindy Woodsmall is brilliant at taking us inside that world and painting a very vivid picture of the teachings, the life, and the way of the Amish.
